Tim Hortons is great new coffe shop with branches all over Dubai, the chain of coffee shops originated from Canadian. They are known for their delicious Tim Bits, bagels and great coffee. A trip down to Tim Hortons is definitely a must!!!!!!!!!!!! Apart from the breakfast menu they also have a great lunch menu including soups, sandwhichs and more........

I was excited when I heard a Tim Hortons is coming ....... Perhaps I would have a nice new coffee spot in my neighborhood. Perhaps I would finally figure out what all those Canadians (Tim Hortons is a Canadian company) are doing when they go into a TH and ask for a "Double Double."
Tim Hortons outlet in Dubai mobbed by Canadian expats...
Later I've learned from my Canadian friends that "Double Double" is Tim Hortons' jargon for a coffee with double cream, double sugar. This is the type of thing the employees here should know. So here is my challenge to anyone who dares: Go into this place and ask for a "Double Double". Let's see what you come out with.
At a Starbucks coffee shop next door, a lone customer stares vacantly out of the window while staff disconsolately wipe down tables. Less than 20 metres away, there is something of a breakfast party going on in Tim Hortons............. offer starts at Starbucks but not working for them.
cheap coffee and fresh produce - even in Dubai, prices begin at a lowly Dh7 for a coffee with staff ordered to make fresh pots every 20 minutes while no doughnut stays on the shelf longer than 12 hours.
There are slight differences between the UAE offering and its Canadian part; there is no drive-through, nor "everything" bagels.
But the staff have been trained to understand typical orders like a double-double (two creams and two sugars to the uninitiated) and all the favourites are there, like timbits, the middle part of the doughnut smothered in sugary coating and sold for Dh1.
Whatelse we want hmm.....
