Monte Carlo Beach Club is known to be quite pricey, luckily the summer special is on making it much more affordable to go to. 175 Dirhams for entry, and kids enter for free.
The pool is nicely chilled, the beach is relaxing, and the facilities are very clean and organized. Note that the cabanas on the pool are not free and you'll have to pay extra for that luxury.
This beach club's sore spot is the service. It took them around 20 minutes to bring me a water (which is complimentary). The next bottle of water will cost you around 20 Dirhams, but note that you will have to wait another 20 minutes for this water.
The food was tasty and fresh. I enjoyed a wagyu cheeseburger that came with sweet potato fries and was absolutely delicious, 90 dirhams well spent!
Overall, this is a nice place to come to during the hot Abu Dhabi summer if you don't mind slow service, and if you enjoy silence. Otherwise, head to the Park Hyatt for a day use room, or the Hiltonia.
It's like landing in Monaco. The huge wooden doors make you feel tiny when you arrive at the Monte Carlo Beach Club. Friendly staff welcome you all the way to the infinity pool that blends in with the beach and aquamarine water backdrop. It's really spectacular. Treat yourself to a drink at the bar on the right and watch the Arabian sunset at its best. If you're lucky, you might even see the turtles nesting a stone throw away. Abu Dhabi has set the bar quite high and we're not impressed too quickly. Monte Carlo does exactly that. It takes your breath away. Treat yourself!
