In terms of food, it's amazing. You won't find better Indian food in Abu Dhabi. They have amazing options, and the chef can modify to fit your preference. Very vegetarian friendly. They also serve drinks, and the setting is very cool and modern. It's a great place to have dinner with a friend. Not very kid friendly, and I don't even think they allow toddlers in at night anymore.
The food is absolutely amazing. I've lived in AD for just 2 YEARS now, and already been to Ushna more than 10 times. good interior decoration and food is also decorated well. They may want to focus on the taste & price as well.
but i heard from some of my freind tried visiting wiz her family and they advised her of "NO CHILD" policy ! Its funny to hear that!! This is a first time I heard "Sorry No kids allowed"in a hotel'resturant !!!
The service here sets it apart from regular indian restaurants by miles...and the view on the water, with the Sheikh Zayed mosque - priceless.
And between the amazing appetizers and main course, they'll pamper you with a little shot of vanilla lemonade to cleanse your palate. Delicious!
I wish I could recommend some dishes, but I can't remember their names! So go for the shredded meat patty for the appetizer - the waiter will help you with the rest!
I dunno, I found it a bit pricey. the food is really good, I admit, but it would be just as good in a street corner indian restaurant. Seriously. the setting and view do set it apart, but I still prefer my khurma with a more 'authentic' feel to it!
Best Indian food out there - having said that, it is a bit expensive. At the end of the day, you could probably order the exact same dishes elsewhere at half the price...but I can guarantee it won't taste quite as good...or be served better...or have a better view across the water.
I also don't know many places you could have a glass of wine with your tandoori :P
