I love food & shopping ....and i love the idea of eating out and trying out new restraunts & places in search of my fav food and new bargains ! I am usually very blunt and open about poor or good customer service weather its in a restraunt or even a shop! I make it a point to receive the worth of what im paying for in a restraunt or an outlet of any sorts! Im your person...to judge and describe my expereince for any restraunt or outlet!
The Claypot Restaurant is quaintly situated on the ground floor of CityMax Hotel on Kuwait street in Bur Dubai, this is your typical Indian cuisine restaurant and worth a try if you are looking for an evening out with family or friends away from the bustling noise & crowd of any food court in a typical mall (where you cannot even hear each other across the tables!) then you should surely try this place! The food is not out of this world but its good & the staff is friendly especially the only lady in the restaurant & at the counter, who makes an effort to welcome all the guests warmly & this is so important when arriving at any restaurant. They serve alcohol but they also observe "dry days" on Fridays, and you need prior reservations even though the restaurant is never full! They have a live band too (not out of this world again) and at no extra cost you can request for as many songs of your choice which they would sing making the evening slightly different than just another dinner out! The "aloo chana chat" for starters is a must try, very tangy & fresh! Avoid the Mugh-e-Qayanaat , a rich chicken gravy in almond sauce -if you are not a fan of slightly sweet gravy's dont go for this! I did order this but the manager was kind enough to add chiily's to make the dish less sweet and bring it back to our table at no extra cost & it tasted 100% better! The nan's were very fresh & hot which was great! I also ordered mutton Dum Biryani which came in a claypot with a lid made from naan / roti! Which my guests enjoyed observing and the Biryani was piping hot and the meat was perfect in taste & texture. The hara masala tikka was great too and we greedily ordered butter chicken too adding to our order, which was good! The food was delicately spiced and not coated with spices that are super strong to the senses, which means you’re enjoying individual flavours and all of the dishes much more. Finally We rounded off with the favorite asian dessert of gulab jamuns! The price range
If you are an old resident of Sharjah, you will without doubt vouch that the Peking Chinese restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sharjah! On weekends, although a little crowded waiting for a table is worth every bite at the restaurant! I adore the Chinese ambiance created perfectly by the décor, the Chinese music in the background and lighting creates the perfect Chinese theme and this definitely makes my appetite go up! The prices are average and affordable with all the wide range of varieties of dishes you would want to order are clearly marked as spicy & mild, which makes it easy to order & are cooked to perfection. They have a great enclosure / separated as cubicles & doors for families who want more privacy and I feel the families enjoy more & seem more relaxed this way!
The soups come in large bowls and 3-4 people can easily share! The helpings of main dishes too are generous hence this place becomes very affordable as far as Chinese restaurants go! I would recommend the Hot and sour soup if you are a fan of this! Or you could try the basic chicken corn soup which tastes great & is averagely priced at 18 dhs! My favs & standard dishes always ordered are chicken spring rolls, chicken chili vegetables, Manchurian chicken, beef and chilies, sweet & sour prawns, chicken chow mein, egg fried rice and ice cream with lychees! The total bill is around Dhs.230/- or a little more for all this food, Which is amazing compared to any good standard authentic Chinese Restaurant! They have a live aquarium too with fresh lobsters & fish you can choose & cooked the way you like, this is a great idea I feel when you want to impress your dinner guests or simply want to have something different someday! There is plenty of parking right outside & behind the restaurant & they home deliver too, No alcohol served here! Do give this place a try, I’m sure you’ll be coming back for more, Call them for reservations on +971 6 5673666, Bon appétit!

There is loads of parking behind the hotel for reservations you could call 04 407 800 and they have options for Thali lunch which I have not tried but have heard that The vegetarian option is priced at Dhs29, and the non-vegetarian option priced at Dhs35! Which is not bad at all.
The location of a restaurant is of prime importance for me & my family when deciding to dine out & the Dubai Mall is definitely my first choice for the perfect venue! The renowned "Red Lobster Restaurant" should be on your top list of a "Must Try Place"! The staff is really friendly & well trained, the service is quick & the prices are quite reasonable for a Seafood restaurant! The first thing you notice when the food arrives on your table is the size of the helpings! The complimentary freshly baked butter scones are out of this world! For starters I ordered the Lobster Nachos which were fresh, heaped with cheese, lobster & sour cream, absolutely delicious! For the Main course I ordered the Shrimp trio & Wood grilled scallops, shrimp & chicken again huge helpings & the food arrived hot & very quickly onto our tables! For drinks we ordered the Pina colada, Berry Mango Daiquiri & the luscious mud slide heaped with fresh cream!! All served in tall glasses! The food was very fresh, the shrimps were de-veined (thank god!) & the staff was very attentive to us. The only drawback was the air conditioner, it was too cold :) & a little more lighting would have made it more nicer! The total bill for all the food we ordered between 3 people (as the helpings were large) was Aed. 213! There is a selection of crab/fish & lobster too and the prices are again not bad! Do try this restaurant for any celebration of any special occasion or to entertain friends & family, you wont be sorry! No alcohol served here, so for me this is a great family restaurant, easy on the pocket but heavy on taste & appetite! After a fun filled day at the Dubai mall this is the best way to end the day with your family as its conveniently located on the lower ground floor! Make sure u reserve a table as the place is packed and you might have to wait for a table especially on weekends! Lastly, you dont have to be a sea food lover to enjoy the food there as they also serve chicken & steak dishes!
Being located in one of the most visited malls of the UAE, a 1 time visit to St. Maxims is surely a must! Located in a quite corner of the mall on the first floor, I had the privilege of dining here as part of Jeeran's elite users gathering! The restaurant is extremely well decorated & has very warm & inviting feel to it. I was slightly disappointed at the set menu that was offered to the guests, as for the starters I was given a choice between mushroom & tiger prawns & I opted for the latter! which I was slightly shocked to see as they were absolutely raw when they arrived at the table :) BUT they came on a slab of marble heated at 400 degrees!! & they were to be cooked on this! wow! this was something I had heard about but never tried and I really enjoyed the experience! Although i felt the prawns could be marinated as they were purely bland and also one of the prawns still had a vein attached to it which I had to remove my self :( Then came the main course & I opted for the meat platter... and after a while when i informed the waitress to make sure my meat is well done she THEN informed me that once again the meat wud be raw and ill have to cook it lol!! I wish i was informed before as I wud have ordered the seafood instead which wud have been easier to cook :) The meat was only sprinkled with salt and pepper accompanied with an awful tasting potatoe pattie:( & no marination or sauces was served to me, although later i noticed 1 of the guests had some gravy with their order? lol! Cooking the meat piece by piece was tiresome & time consuming & left little time for me to talk or enjoy my meal! Again as a 1 time experience the result was fascinating and something I wud never forget! The waitress was helpful but not so friendly :) & the idea of them standing next to our table looking at us eating was a little uncomfortable! The grand finale was the cheese cake I ordered, no it came cooked:) lol & it was the most divine cheese cake I ever had! topped with wild berries & sauce! My advice: Visit for the experience only! Thanks alot Jeeran!
By sheer luck and chance I was introduced to Banyan Tree resort by a group of friends. Nestled Amid stretches of desert sand in tranquil Wadi Khadeja, a peaceful oasis , a sanctuary surrounded by the evergreen ghaf trees, it is the first desert resort in the United Arab Emirates to offer all-pool villas! The reception area is casual yet friendly which is so important I feel to set your mood to good or bad :)The architecture resembles traditional mud brick Arabic homes presented in a modern, sophisticated way, the villas are simply beautiful the interior is lush & simply breathtaking! The foray opens into the private pool area which is open yet very secluded and private and the comfortable deck with chairs & a very comfortable canopy seat is awesome to relax in! The bedroom area is beautifully decorated with a luxurious satin canopy over the bed & its just so relaxing just being in the villa! The inhouse music system is very soothing, specially if ure soaking in the luxury bath! The bathroom is also v huge with glass windows/blinds overlooking the dunes. For leisure activities you could book the "rain forest experience", which is a spa and you cud choose from a variety of massages & facials depending on your choice! The package includes 2 free complimentary activities like the falcon show (a must if u have kids) biking, camel & horse riding , sunset drives, dune drives etc, for more inquiries just log on to http://www.banyantree.com to view their awesome gallery & get more info! They have an excellent buffet for all meals, breakfast & dinner would be included in most packages! A rooftop shisha lounge is also not to be missed! Minus the heat (wish I had chosen a cooler month for a visit) In all the Banyan Tree resort would not disappoint & definitely rejuvenates your body & soul! This is definitely not my last visit!
The Pergolas restaurant at Murooj Rotana is extremely inviting at first glance and that's so important for any restaurant to be popular! The great thing about this restaurant is their themed nights! you cud choose from "Seafood night" and "Pan Asia Night " and "Al Dente" and "Sabor Latino" - every Friday or Friday Brunch. I chose the Italian theme of Al Dante and i guess i made the right choice! The salad bar was awesome and mostly seafood based :) with a special mention for the starters of mozzarella cheese balls with cherry tomatoes topped with olive oil and herbs dressing all in a cute martini glass! Very refreshing and light! The cold cuts were great, including the squid and octopus salad, oysters very very fresh, although the smoked salmon was too strong in taste. The course was excellent! They have a live cooking station! and you get to choose your own sauce and ingredients and variaty of beef, chicken or praws! It was great and the filling, I would advice you to ask the chef to make your portion small as the buffet has alot of dishes and I would recommend to try out all of them! The BBQ prawns tasted just right, the beef was a bit dry. I tried the ravioli stuffed with truffles! but i Felt that it was not cooked well and had a doughy taste to it! The wood oven cooked pizza slices tasted great although I felt more variety of pizzas shud have been added than only a margarita pizza being offered in slices! The Lasagna, stuffed bell peppers, baked gratin, steamed vegetables are some of the great dishes that Pergolas has to offer. The dessert bar was equally impressive with a great variety of cakes , mousses, tarts , fresh fruit and a wonderful chocolate fountain which is everyone's fav! The buffet for the theme nights is AED179 with selected unlimited alcholic beverages and AED159 with soft drinks, chilled juices and mineral water. The hotel has FREE valet service. If ure a big eater I would recommend this place!
I have been to channels restaurant for Iftar recently and was a little disappointed! Firstly the Iftar Buffet was timed to last for an hour and fifteen minutes!! While they hurriedly brought in new dishes to set up a new menu for a theme night! I mean Why not combine the two? Since I paid Aed.125/- per head for the short iftar buffet? The dishes were few to choose from, the soups were nice & the starters of shwarma & melted cheese with arabic bread at live cooking stations were a good start however the main course like the lamb stew was quite salty and dishes like spicy thai curry & sweet n sour sea food curry had no plain/fried rice to accompany the dishes! The only rice dishes were veg biryani / arabic chicken rice & Lamb with rice? The dishes were mainly middle eastern which i felt was a little disappointing! The fresh orange juice was great and so was the traditional Qamardeen and Jalab drinks! The salad bar was decent, again full of middle eastern themed salads which were nice.
The dessert table compensated for the disappointing main course display but the quality of the chocolate at the chocolate fountain which was the most appealing part there was quite poor and bitter :( The humming bird cake was excellent (No, not made from humming birds lol) it was a nutty and rich cake, the strawberry cheesecake was excellent too & so was the blue berry souffle! The service is good and friendly no doubt and the hotel has a valet service even though u have a lot of empty ground all around the place to park your car! For a theme night I might go there again but definitely not for an hour 15 mins iftar buffet!!
Been living in Dubai for so many years and me and my friends are crazy about Lebanese food! Al Mallah is one such outlet that never fails to satisfy your appetite for the best Lebanese snacks around! It has maintained its quality and taste over the years and thats the best part about al Mallah! Ive been having their Laham (mince) & Jibbin (cheese) sandwiches for so many years and the taste remains the same! They make their own bread and the cheese they use i was told is made by them as well :)) The hot piping sandwiches with melted cheese & mince are out of this world. Dont forget to try the awesome Al Mallah Special, its a fruit cocktail with pieces of fresh fruit / juice topped honey, cream & nuts!! The shawarma's are equally delicious filled with their famous garlic paste & Taheena! meat or chicken taste great! Falafils are another famous snack (great if ure a veg) u cant ignore at al mallah, have them in a sandwich or on their own they taste divine! Their service is quick, friendly and prompt they will serve u while ure sitting in your car and in a busy place like Satwa, Al Diyafa street where parking is a problem, you an be assured the waiters will follow your car no matter how far u have parked & deliver your order with a smile! They have other great variety of fresh juices & snacks like spinach rolls, mini pizzas & smbouska but my favorites are all listed above :) If u havent tried Al Mallah make sure u do now, u wont be disappointed! shawarma's cost around 6dhs now, as prices have gone up :( and i feel the size of the shawarma has also reduced, but none the less because I cant get the same great taste at another Lebanese outlet, I dont compromise on taste, so I give a thumbs up to Al Mallah all the way!!
I have not been a great fan of Dubai Outlet mall but things have changed this Ramadan & its become one of the best value shopping malls in Dubai, It has undergone a transformation with Ramadan themed decorations, a special promotion, great bargains and longer hours! Its beautifully decorated & the mall is lit up with Ramadan moons and stars, you can relax in a Majlis style tent and have a Henna painting design with exotic live traditional Arabic music. You can also enjoy a Puppet Show on Centre Stage ! & kids can be left in a kids play area while u shop. During Ramadan customers will have the unique opportunity to participate in an interesting and exciting promotion that gives each and every shopper an instant prize for their purchases, everyone will be given a beautifully designed box of Chocodates in return for spending a specific amount of money in any of the retail outlets! yum! There is a beautiful arabic tent to celebrate Iftar with traditional coffee and datesn & also great Iftar banquets from the delicious restaurants, cafes and food outlets in the mall. I love the idea of the charity drive to raise the spirit of sharing and caring in the holy month of Ramadan & this is great for my kids to expereince as well. They have a shuttle bus service too (pls call on 044234666) & Mondays are half price days! yes thats right! everything on half price. The Mall is buzzing with activities & music and some local stations are also participating for on the spot quizes & prizes!
Being right at the center of main Mirdiff, Internationa city & 10 minsutes from Dubai silicon oasis this strategically planned mall is a sure hit with residents who are in these vicinities! I was pleasently surprised to read the timings for the Mall & restaurants open till 3am during ramadan!! usually the malls are open till 1am but the 3am time cap was just great!! All my friends & family's favourite restraunts are in Mirdiff city center, so if we all plan for a late movie foloowed by v late suhoor dinner, this is the fun place to be! You can choose from restraunts like Abu Sid, Al Forno, Japengo, California Pizza Kitchen, Carluccio's, Chilis, Duck King, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Kosebasi, Mango Tree Bistro, MBCo, More Café, P&Q, Pars Iranian Restaurant, Patisserie Valerie, Pinkberry, Pizzeria Uno, The Butcher Shop & Grill, Tiffenbites, Tony Roma's, Yo! Sushi, Zafran! Phew!!!! So for all your ramadan shopping and late night family fun this is the place to be! C4 being the best supermarkets where u can get everything u wud need, for your advance eid shopping for clothes & shoes again there is no better place to shop from! Need i say more :) this is definately eveybody's choice during or after Ramadan!
For any specvial essentials for Ramadan like dreid apricots for making qamareddin, soups, tamarind or even arabian delicacies like baklawa etc C4 at Mirdiff city center is the one place stop! For those who are unaware Qamardeen is sun-dried apricot juice popular in the Middle East during Ramadan. The brightly colored juice is energizing after the day's fast! I was introduced to it a few years ago by a middle eastern family and now Its a Ramadan must have for us :)
Carrefour being an international chain adhers to all the Ramadan essentials! Be it dates, fruits, sweets or arabian origin etc, you can easily shop for everything here, the staff is a plenty and v helpful, being easily spotted due to their bright t shirts! The parking is easily available on 3 levels, the rooftop parking being the safest and less congested! The supermarket is abuzz with Ramadan offers, bundled food items to make it cheaper for the shopper and everything being clean & hygenic makes this the most alluring place to shop peacefully for all your Ramadan needs!
They say size doesnt matter :) but this definately doesnt apply to MOE (please dont confuse it with ministry of education! lol) Mall of the emirates is rated one of the best malls! & u cant fail to agree, weather the spirit of Ramadan is being celebrated or not this mall surely is a crowd puller! I love the ambience of the mall in Ramadan, the 100's of stars put up at the center of the mall is dazzling! I feel some mall just have a buzz, that special atmosphere that makes u want to visit over and over again and MOE definately has it. The Mall is open till late and choosing a wide variety of restaurants (Chillis being our family fav) and entertainment like the one and only Ski Dubai makes it the best mall for me and my family. Its not the decoration that will bring the ambiance of Ramadan or any festival alive in a mall, its the atmosphere and the enjoyment that one feels & observes makes MOE a special 'family' mall. I really cant put my finger on any perticular thing that makes this my favourite Mall in Ramadan, but Its just the overall effect of enjoyment and the line up of entertainment that the MOE offers makes it numero Uno in my list! MOE in Ramadan or any other time is the most special & fun Mall for me and my family!
The opening of Carrefore & Mirdif City Center as a whole has been truly a blessing for all residents staying not only at Mirdiff but even further at Dubai Silicon Oasis! The best dates i would say are ate Carrfour, with their nice display of the Dates Tent, featuring my favourite dates such as Mabroom (long, thin, medium brown), Sagai (short, light-coloured, with an amber top), Sukkary (small, pale rounder in shape), Safawi (dark, long, thin, wrinkly) dates with nuts & the famous bottled date syrup! The display is very informative with clear pricing the stand is very clean & all the dates are gleaming fresh, very inviting to any buyer and they have gift baskets too which is a lovely idea for this time of giving! They have a great variety of dates, local & inported & Carrefore is for sure my first choice for buying dates at any time of the year!
I agree that water theme parks sound monotonous to some but no matter how many times I have been to Wild Wadi my family & I have one of the best after Iftar times! We are all avid fans of thrill seeking rides and Widl Wadi does not disappoint :) The Master Blaster ring ride is an adventure in itself! Do try the Jumeriah Scierah, scary it seems but worth the adrelinin rush! the Tantrum Alley ride another family favorite! There are two main restaurants in Wild Wadi water theme park. Julshan’s Kitchen and Sinbad’s Galley are the two restaurants which serve some of the most sumptuous fast food. If you love sandwiches, burgers, pasta, pizza and fries you will all get it here in this themed park. If you havent laughed & screamed with fun together as a family please visit Wild Wadi, Yes, the queues are long sometimes, but every hassel. If u want to connect as a family & enjoy the beautiful park and view of Jumeriah Beach Hotel and the Burj...this is your family retreat & after Iftar treat!
Craving for Qatayef or any lebanese/arabic sweets or desserts your one stop Friendly Arabic food pit stop is Al Hallab Restaurant and Sweets! it stands tall on value with quality and tradition topping the list. In today’s fast-paced work environment to find delicacies close to the taste of home cooking is a rarity but Al Hallab delivers this 100% A must try if you have not had the expereince, you wont regret it one bit!
My friends & I cannot comprehend Ramadan without a visit to this place! You can relish a wide selection of cuisine with strong Arabic and Oriental influences. There are favorites such as sizzling & fresh ouzi, falafel and shawarma at the live cooking stations, as well as shisha and live Arabic music to enjoy. The ambience is relaxed yet inviting and at Dhs99; Dhs45 for six-12 year olds; under sixes eat for free its a great place to relax , unwind & enjoy!
If you love ice cream this can definately be called the Rolls Royce of ice creams!! Conviniently located at the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall the inviting purple white decor is so inviting in it self. They offer authentic, luscious gelato my fav being Aplle, Nutella & Vanilla which may sound simple but is beyond anything but simple. The staff is friendly, the outlet is extremely hygenic & very inviting & relaxed. I would recommend the Banana Caramel Grand Sundae & Mocha Grand Sundae truly out of this world!
They serve low fat low sugar yougurt desserts in yummy flavours too for the health conscious types too :)
Its a shame to be at Morelli's and not try their fresly tosted panini sandwiches my recommendations would surely be the clubhouse sandwich Spread with chicken and mayonnaise, grilled beef
bacon, fresh tomato, slices of boiled eggs and lettuce! & Waldorf Chicken
Grilled sandwich with chicken in gorgonzola ranch dressing,
grapes, topped with field greens!
For the veg lovers I would recommend Mozzarella with Sun Dried Tomatoes, mayonnaise
and lettuce or the vegearian sandwich with grilled zucchini, eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, topped with pesto sauce and a spread of mayonnaise!! Delicious to the last bite.
Dont forget to order Morelli’s Cappuccino which is their Classic rich & creamy cappuccino you will never forget!
They offer fruit salads, green salads also & this is definately not your ordinary icecream shop but this could be a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with your friends & family! The price is as reasonable as any other cafe of the same category but worth the price in all cases!
An american steakhouse along the lines of other chains such as Sizzler, both in terms of appearance and its mission to provide reasonable food at reasonable prices! Conviniently located behind the parking lot of Dnata Airline center in Deira, with ample parking space. The lunchtime & dinner buffet are well maintained and includes some great dishes like spegetti & beatballs, bbq chicken wings, pasta , soups , salads ets. The drinks are included with the buffet, the lemonade is a must try, very refreshing and goes well with the food!
The variety is amazing and great for people with a big appetite.
At Dhs29 including a dessert & drinks is a steal deal
however, there is also an à la carte menu, including steaks (beef and chicken) and seafood.
At Dhs44 you can get the steak/chicken / seafood main course as well as eat the buffet, which is a great deal in itself. For a very acceptably succulent 6oz beefsteak! which comes with a baked potatoe topped with this amzing butter! & vegetables + the buffet, drinks & dessert, Dhs. 44 is an excellent deal! The atmosphere is friendly, thay cater to parties as well, the kids are entertained with balloons & friendly staff, they have high chairs for babies which helps, Ponderosa truly is the ‘great American family restaurant’ it claims to be & with the buffet option a meal becomes as big as you want it to be, and chances are you’ll be able to enjoy your meal with plenty of peace and privacy - Ponderosa is more often than not less than packed out.
Make sure you leave some space to enjoy the piping hot desert of Umm Ali and the choclate mousse & help your self to ice cream cones which you can churn out of the machine yourself, great fun for you & kids!
The nail spa located at The Aviation Club is situated on the north side of Al Garhoud Bridge adjacent to the Emirates Airlines Training Centre. Ample car parking is available. Whether you require a 15 minute quick fix manicure or a two hour hand and foot bliss session, this is the right place to book an appointment for.
They have services for manicures, pedicures, waxing, tinting, massage, nail art, gel, silk and acrylic
enhancements and Bio sculpture.
They have the best French manicure or pedicure.
For those who don’t wish to wear nail polish they have a natural therapy manicure that leaves your nails with a long lasting natural high gloss shine while improving discolouration and ridges.
Thay have gift vouchers & you can sign up for their loyalty program for great discounts too. A combo for a classic manicure & pedicure would cost u around Dhs.150 & Dhs.160 for a french manicure and pedicure combo. Do try their in house tea tree oil its the best & very refreshing.
They use all sterile & NEW stuff for every new customer, dont go without an appointment :)
The decor is very well done for the restaurant and its an ideal place if you want to take guests who are on visit as they have a great buffet which caters to the taste of non asians as the spices are mildly used but the food is excellent even to the taste of people who enjoy spicy food like myself. The salad bar is a little dissapointing but the buffet makes up for this, the must try dishes are the beautifully spiced Biryani & mutton & Fish tikka, with delicious lentils & vegetables to suit everbody's taste . The Buffet has both veg and non veg dishes and delicious desserts to complete the meal like Gajar ka halwa & Kheer. The ambiance is friendly and the staff is attentive, the only draw back is the long walk to the restaurant and no proper signs to guide new customers. Parking space is no problem as its located at the Festival city and a must try if you want to take some guests for iftar buffet.
Ive been a regular at the Irish village but recently the service has become very poor & the manager is to be blamed for this. He is very rude and definately is racist towards asians! everything is there to make this an excelent Pub but it is managed so poorly! It is a profit making machine, dressed up like a Irish Pub but no Soul or Craic here... Much better Irish Pubs to be found in Dubai.. Fibber McGees being the Best... Staff are the Best , Music is proper Irish Pub Music. If a Beer falls whens its handed to you they will replace it! But not here! The food is average but the service is below average.
The idea of a restaurant which is a replica of a train is not only unique in Dubai but adds the fun factor to visit with family and friends! I loved the idea, the train themed songs that play within the dining area of the 'train' and the funny train themed announcements that are played from time to time makes the atmosphere very relaxed yet very oppulant. The idea of boarding a real train and having dinner 'on' a train is only offered by Royal express. The menu is as amusing as the look of the restaurant, with dishes named aptly like railway mutton and Sabzi ka maal gadi! The Lady Cannings Paneer Tikka is quite good, Mangal Pandey ki pasand is another great dish worth a try. I have tried the Jhinga Gulnaar a tandoori prawn dish and it was awesome. For a very spicy pallet Murgh ka soola is highly recommended, along with the red coloured railway mutton curry served with rice and they have a good variety of stuffed nans too to suit everyones taste! For dessert classic Gulab Jamuns and Ras Malai are the right choice for an end to this royal meal!
The staff is very friendly, the place is not too crowded and the venue makes a great backdrop for pictures for friends & relatives who are visiting. The price is not heavy on the pocket and a group of firnds and relatives could be easily invited as the quantity of the food is quite generous. This is one resaurant that I would highly recommend as part of a sight seeing tour for any friend or relative visting you or even for those who reside in Dubai.
This is the famous branch of the Lal Qila restaurant in Karachi, Pakistan. The atmosphere and theme is one of kind in Dubai, with a backdrop of Mughal kings & their palaces. The food is out of this world and the buffet system with their live kitchens is great. The ambience is light yet formal with all the waiters dressed aptly from the moghul age! They have a court jester too who does sher o shayari & is a great idea by the restaurant, keeps the guests entertained and amused. The restaurant looks great the price is great, they have valet parking too. We had taken one of our friends who had a birthday and she had a great time when they announced her name as they would in a moghul palace! and she cut the cake with a sword!! A fun place with excellent food, a highly recommended place, worth the price!
This restaurant was a dream come true for most Pakistanis and Indians who have alot of guests or family members to entertain! The main attarction being the superb buffet that BBQ delights has to offer and the price is excellent compared to the number of dishes offered. The food is excellent , the ambience is nice, the restaurant is clean and they have a the branches in good locations with good parking facilities so it makes it easy to visit them. The only draw back is the lack of a prayer area specially during Ramadan when all the people at the restaurant are there especially at the time of Iftar! and for ladies there is no facility of a prayer room. The place is full during Ramadan and the restaurant should look into this problem and make a prayer room or hall for ladies.
Their desserts, main dishes, starters and their famous mint and lemon drink is the best. I would and already have recommended this place to all my friends and its definately worth the price.
