Have to agree, this place got kind of skeezy lately but I always manage to have fun there! The music is great, DJs always spinning my favourite songs - that sounds like a bad pop lyric, lol, sorry. The crowd is about 50 percent awesome, 50 percent....question marks. If you're not out for a crazy Thursday, you can always sit outdoors in the garden or by the pool, which is very quiet and chilled and great for talking. Always have fun here. Always!
I have to say, I really had my reservations about this mall, but I was so pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of it and the welcoming entrance. It's bright, it's fun and it's family friendly. When you think of musaffah, your head normally goes to factories and industrial desert zones, but it's really an up and coming neighbourhood. It's also a great escape on the crowded holiday weekends on the island, because it's so vast, so it's normally not crowded at all.
I tried the cinema there, and it really was a lovely experience, great quality, comfortable chairs, good soundsystem (it was a 3D movie tho, so it did cost more).
Other stores I saw: Carribou coffe (great anywhere!), Max & Centrepoint for cheap fashion, Lifestyle jewellery and exchange centres for convenience :)
They even have a crabtree & evelyn store (don't know where else you'd find one)
My friends have been raving about this place for ages, so naturally I had very high expectations. I only just had a chance to go there last week, and though I wasn't actually disappointed, I wasn't all that impressed either. I have to say, though they do hae outdoor seating (which I normally prefer) the ambience indoors is much nicer. I had the California rolls, which are fool proof. They're good anywhere you might have them, but the real kicker was the dessert - chocolate fondant and green tea ice cream is a fantastic combination - just make sure to order well in adance as it will take a full 20 minutes to prepare. It's a little bit on the pricey side - especially if you're having alcohol, but worth it. The only downside is the long drive out for what you can get at basically any Japanese restaurant inside the city.
Go here for the quality shoes, go here for the awesome service, go here for the great sale prices, go here for the free delivery to your doorstep if they don't have your item, go here for the Club Apparel points rewards system, go here for the snazzy evening shoes, the casual but durable flats or the ridic accessories and chic handbags.
Love this store. Did I mention you should go there?? :)
Wow, I know I haven't been here since high school, but I think it's safe to say I knew every detail about this place back in the day. Who doesn't love steak and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. So much win. Going back soon!
This is the type of place that's really nice, but has a little too much of a classic feel...you know what I mean? It's like the type of place you take your mom or grandma for mother's day.
Having said that, the food is actually lovely and the service is professional (very well trained staff). A bit heavy on the pocket (aed 200/person), but one should expect that of the Sheraton by now.
Fresh juices, delicious biryani, kebabs. Decent menu for basically a stall at the mall. Mmmm don't know what else to say, it's decent fast food, and khaldiya mall is never too crowded in the food court (except weekends! stay out!)
I like it! I'm not gonna be sentimental about the old, hot, smelly souq. No, sir, no sympathy votes from me. The stores that are opening are promising so far. Like a mall, but with a more traditional touch, from the merchandise to the strange and intricate architecture.
Great cafes, too. Aces for an evening of relaxation.
Oh-Em-Gee! Best cupcakes ever. I though Sugar Daddy's was good till I tried this place. The quality is just impeccable; their super-sweet and I love my sugar so YAY for me.
There's always someone lovely and helpful, and there's never a queue at the door. They even sell adorable cup-cake related merchandise ;)
The location at the market isn't the best idea but it is well worth the parking problem (oh, just use the underground parking, make sure to get it validated!)
Absolutely love this store - they have the CUTEst handbags and wallets, and accessories for every day. It's so hard to walk in there and not walk out with a purchase or a planned purchase!
There's a great collection of jewlery, watches, scarves, etc. And the best part is, they come in every colour so you know your shoes are gonna match up nicely ;)
Great, authentic Italian dining.
The decor is really homey, and it honestly feels like "Mamma's" place :)
I know the red and white checkers have been over done a little bit but I wouldn't change a thing!
Prices are a hotel-worthy but worth every penny!
The thing that bothers me the most about this place is that it's situated right at the entrance of the mall, so it kind of feels out of place. However, the food and desserts are okay. I was a bit disappointed, though, that they had s'mores on the menu but in reality they don't serve them.
The service is a little bit slow, too, but on the upside, they're very personable and friendly.
Have to agree on the excellent service, and the impeccable quality of both the food and the presentation.
It's not often I get to Futouh Al Khair centre, but this place makes it worth the shopping trip!
Not bad but not great. Maybe I tried the wrong thing (enchiladas mole) but I expected better, honestly.
The band is a bit loud, and it's difficult to have a decent conversation - again, maybe I was sitting at the wrong table...still...
The service was good though, so props for that, and I like the overall theme, even if it's not as cozy as one would like.
I have to say, this place is pretty nice. It's quite smart-casual, and not yet well discovered by the general populous.
Service is good, too, and atmosphere is quite chill. I just hope it stays that way, till people discover it and they start blaring bad music on TV...don't worry. that hasn't happened yet :)
Love this place! It's a bit weird if you try to sit outside, coz it's on the side street, basically inside the villa complex of Liwa village, but it's still lovely.
I can't get over how good the food is or how friendly the service is at any of the La Brioches in town. Gotta go get me some of that coffee eclaire goodness!
Mmmm very good food!
I really like it here, the ambience is always...well, this might be a strange way to describe it, but it's smooth.
The decor is just a little bit off, but you get used to it, it's kind of classy kitsch (how very Abu Dhabian, am I right?)
Great for late lunches or desserts :)
If I could just go and have bowlfuls of their complimentary prawn crackers and sweet chili sauce every day, do you think I wouldn't...
I tried. You can't. Lol. JK, be sure to follow it with an actual meal: try the Mongolian grill, where you can pick your own fresh and raw ingredients at the bar and have them cook it up for you right then and there. Thumbs up!
This place is really relaxed.
Just get a nice couch, poolside, at night, order up some mashawi and mezza and enjoy a late night shisha.
Food is really good, and the place still hasn't got a lot of foot traffic, which is good, coz the seating area is pretty small!
I want to give this place 4 stars at least, because the setting is lovely (on the roof of the new Souq), and the shisha is good too…but for a place called Rawaq it wasn’t very rayiq the second time I went - the music was overwhelmingly loud and had a kind of bad-wedding-y feel to it.
But on my first trip it definitely made me wanna head back…so they get brownie points for that!
The menu consists of all personalized items: recipes collected from family and friends (with such names as my mother’s cake and my sister’s favourite salad!)
And the diverse crowd makes it definitely worth a visit :)
Outdoor seating, grassy terrain, great mix of international people, truly a nice combination of east meets west.
Sometimes a family will be siting having dinner next to a group of young people standing around having drinks. And they mesh perfectly well...
Oh reasonable prices for a hotel too
this place is actually inside the (THE one) furniture store. i hear they have a really eclectic menu but honestly i just go there for the dessert. it's quite expensive (like their furniture, lol) but it is ridiculously yummy :)
