I haven’t been here in a while, but I remember it’s one of the nicer lounges in this city. In the long run, most places would give way to the sleazier of the species, but these guys still insist on shirt and shoes (At the very least. They’re not exactly an authority on moral character, so it’s up to the ladies to decide for themselves!!)
I have to be honest and say I’ve never tried their food :-s
I know I spend my time on the sit obsessing over sugar and everything it goes into...but I have one word for you: CUPCAKES!
They're like 12 dhs a piece which is...eh, well one's gonna fill you up so don't be fooled by it's diminutive size.
Even the "low fat" option is awesome. cream cheese on a cupcake is just pure genius!
I'm just so psyched that they opened a branch next to the old one...but i will always miss the old one :(
they have a dessert selection to dieeeeeee for: brioches, mille feuilles, eclaires...oh i dream about their eclaires!
Ohhhh this place is so much fun, but I haven't been here in ages. You get to pick a plain cup/plate/pot/etc and 5 colours including puff paints and get crazy :D
They bake and varnish it for you and you pick it up in a couple of days.
Don't forget to try their bagel chips! Super yummy
(and don't forget a bundle of cash, it'll cost you but it's worth it)
I like this place. It's alright. Sun comes through nicely through the full windowed front (if you're not sitting outside) and spills out warmly into the place.
The service is quite efficient, and the food is gourmet-good. I've only really had breakfast items there, so I don't know what the rest of the menu looks like but the french toast with vanilla topping...just wow.
You want junky, saucy, sticky, crispy chinese food...that wan't a question, you want it!
And this is the place to get it :D
I become a giggly little school girl again
Helpful tip: the location is exactly on the corner of Muroor and 15th street.
The decor is soooooo cute, it's a little but antique-y and a little bit modern - they've got all these old fashioned little lanterns and coloured cushions
I do love their shisha, too, just wish their cakes were fresher (I like my sugar!!)
I don't care how old I get, the little show the chefs put on are always fun (especially when they light the food on fire...I tend to do that at home too...just not on purpose!)...I wonder if they do the same jokes the world over?
Sometimes it feels like you can run the bill a little high but, hey, it's basically dinner and a show ;)
