for me the experience i have with this airline has its ups and downs. when i first avail the service of the airline when i have my vacation on my home country it was nice and amazing. but for the second one it was a disaster. it was my first time to book online when you book in their online service they will give you choice where to seat but the seating plan in the online booking is different to the original seating plan. second i was an etihad guest member (not a silver or gold member) just a guest member. i was really disappointed to them when i ask for an upgrade to my seat to business class from economy class i ask them how much im going to pay when i agree to pay the said amount they said there is no available seat left. the reason behind i want upgrade is because i was in night shift duty before my flight and i want to sleep comfortable. During the boarding time i was shock to what they did the same person i ask for an upgrade is giving seats in business class for the silver and gold member. So that means i am an etihad guest member but im not worth it. i feel belittled that time. good thing though that they have a nice flight attendant during my travel time.

You know what? It's a decent airline, so I'm gonna start there. My problem is this: For a company that has continued to steadily increase its prices for the last few years since it opened (market penetration, nice trick), they really haven't shown anything in the form of bettering their services. It's the same, if not slightly worse than it was in year 1. I will continue to travel with them out of convenience since I live in the capital, but if I can help it, I will pick another airline first.

Etihad airways has always been our choice since we went to the UAE 2 years ago. From booking the tickets to checking in on line, although the only problem is that it does not remember your details on line which makes the process longer for a familyof five. Etihad have 2 luggage drop off points in Abu Dhabi, one new one at the ADNEC and one in the tourist club centre area of Abu Dhabi taking the strain out of queuing the check your lugage in. On the flights you are well catered for with a list of up to date movies and music and a constant relay of beverages. Plus you are not hassled like othe airlinestobuy duty free goods like other airlines. The food as a whole has been to an excellent standard. If you are a regular traveller it is worth getting an Etihad guest card to earn points on your journeys and if you combine that with an ADCB above credit card you can quickly build up points to purchase flights, upgrades or gifts. Always found the staff to be very helpful and have gone out of their way to arrange seating together if the flight seating is already full. I would choose Etihad every time.1 found this review useful

Their staff are not friendly, can barely smile, and not helping anyone who might need assistance, I heard that they hire new crew for short distance flights, thats why they are not professional at all!!0 found this review useful

After experiencing different airlines. me and my spouse tried Etihad airlines for many destinations, the most recent one was a long trip to the far east. I got to say that Etihad has the most comfortable flights, with great services , and entertainment system.
Besides, it offers many promotions and packages for the different occasions and seasons.
it is considered as the National airline of Abu Dhabi.
from my experience i would give it rating 5/5
